Recruiting expert comments on Georgia’s chances of landing 5-star Justus Terry

Georgia football has finally taken over the no. 1 team recruiting ranking on 247Sports for the 2025 class. And with two weeks left until the early signing period begins, Kirby Smart and Georgia has no intention of giving it up.

One uncommitted recruit that Smart and his staff hope will commit to Georgia is five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry. The Bulldogs have been in a great position throughout his recruiting cycle and currently have all five crystal ball predictions in their favor to win this recruitment. But Terry is still showing interest in other schools, which include rival Auburn, which he will visit this weekend.

While this may feel a little concerning at first, a recruiting expert from Rivals is here to tell Georgia fans that there is absolutely no reason to worry.

“For weeks, the feeling has been that the Manchester, Ga., standout, who has been committed to Georgia and USC earlier in his recruitment, is down to Alabama and Georgia,” Adam Gorney said viaRivals.com. “But digging even deeper, the word has been that the Bulldogs still feel very comfortable in this recruiting.”

According to Gorney, Terry’s recruitment is really only down to Georgia and Alabama, even with his visit to Auburn this weekend. Who knows why he even goes there in the first place, but it’s nice to know that Georgia fans don’t really have to worry about that.

However, Gorney revealed even more information that Georgia feels “very comfortable” with their chances to win this recruitment. That doesn’t mean it’s officially over, but again, this is another good sign for UGA.

Hopefully this is how Terry’s recruiting plays out and Georgia gets some good news from him in about two weeks, because if Georgia can hold on, it would give them one of the best defensive line classes ever.
