LeBron James dreamed he was playing for Coach K at Duke before Snoop, Dr. Dre Concert | News, results, highlights, stats and rumours

Duke fans have surely dreamed of LeBron James playing for the Blue Devils in the past.

Well, now the king has dreamed of it too.

James took to social media Sunday morning and said he dreamed he was playing for legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski inside Cameron Indoor Stadium. He said it “was an honor to watch out” for the former Duke coach, though the dream took quite a turn when a concert featuring Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre blurted out:

LeBron James @King James

It was just like a concert. Snoop & Dre were the performers and they did the song “The Next Episode”. The roof inside Cameron cursed fell off! Haha. Then my went off and I woke up.

The Los Angeles Lakers star never played collegiately and went straight to the NBA out of high school as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 draft.

There were no rules in place preventing high schoolers from jumping straight to the NBA at the time, though he has previously discussed where he would have played if today’s restrictions existed when he made his decision.

James has said he would have played at his home state school of Ohio State in the past, although he has also implied he would have gone to Duke or North Carolina.

Krzyzewski would have made a good impression on the recruiting trail, and Ohio State, North Carolina and others may have been disappointed with the end result of the process. The Blue Devils also reached the Final Four in the 2003-04 season, where James might have suited them, and it’s not hard to imagine him leading them another step toward a national title.

At least the future Hall of Famer got the opportunity to play for Krzyzewski later in his career.

Coach K led the USA Men’s National Team to three consecutive Olympic gold medals in 2008, 2012 and 2016. James was a member of the 2008 Beijing team and the 2012 London team, and neither of those teams lost in Olympic competition.

Basketball fans got the chance to see the legendary player suit up for the legendary coach in international play, but James taking the court in Cameron Indoor Stadium is still a dream.
